May 22 International Day for Biological Diversity

Since 2001 International Day for Biological Diversity is being Celebrated in the world

biodiversityBiodiversity is declining rapidly today. Plants die, forests and animals disappear from the surface of the earth ... The reason for this is mainly the active egocentric, consumer activity of man. Planet Earth scientists have expressed concern about the future fate of species biodiversity at the 1992 United Nations Conference on Environment and Sustainable Development in Rio de Janeiro.

They urged the entire world community to pay first and foremost attention to the conservation of biodiversity. In this regard, the Convention on Biological Diversity was adopted. Today, about 200 countries are the participants of this convention.

The goals pursued by the acceding countries are clear: to preserve the biodiversity of living species and ecological systems, to make sustainable use of the components of biodiversity, and to reap the benefits of using genetic resources. The main task of the International Day for Biological Diversity is to draw public attention to the problem of irreversible extinction of many representatives of flora and fauna on Earth.

In 2021, the United Nations decides to mark International Biodiversity Day with the motto: "We are part of the solution." This issue has come up on the agenda primarily because each of us realizes that maintaining biodiversity is the duty of all of us.

This is still spoken of in the Bible when the Lord commands Noah to save all spiritual beings. On the other hand, it is necessary to realize that despite the modern advances in the field of advanced technologies, the existence of the world's population depends on the health of nature (the state of ecosystems), the quality of drinking water, food and air. Humanity will have a future only if it has a harmonious attitude towards its neighbor – nature and healthy ecosystem. Today we shall talk about soil which stands out with its one of the most remarkable bio-diversities.
