Round Table concerning some aspects of electrification

On April 14 a Round Table was held at GAAS to demonstrate positive and negative affect of electromagnetic waves on the human’s health.

The following persons took part in the work of the Round Table: G. Aleksidze, the President and other members of GAAS, also the representatives of Georgian Technical and Agrarian Universities, Business Academy members, and other invited guests. The key speaker was Dr. of Technical Sciences, Academician Archil Vashakidze.

Electromagnetic waves are successfully used in medicine, but sadly enough, electromagnetic waves have more negative effect on human health than positive, particularly this refers to children. Also the number of oncology patients has increased and number of patients with psychiatric weaknesses. Kitchen electrical appliances also have radiation, as well as cell phones, TV towers, and others.

The presenter pointed out that Georgian government should consider the above said and in particular cases it should take corresponding measures which is very important for the population to lead a healthy way of life.

The Round Table discussion was very live and it was stipulated that the problem deserves particular attention from the side of citizens, researchers and country government.
